D&J High Performance Bullets

mike_02mike_02 Member Posts: 259 ✭✭✭
I have acquired a number of cast bullets from 'D&J High Performance Match Grade Bullets' and have not been successful in locating information for this manufacturer. (out of business, no website, etc.???)

Could anyone provide information?

These bullets are as follows:

Caliber...45

Weight...255gr LSWC and 300gr LTFP.

Any favorite loads for 45 Colt using Unique and these bullets would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

Mike, I doubt there's any difference between those and any other commercial cast bullet of those weights. As always, start low and work up carefully. Some of my pet loads for the 45 Colt with 255 cast bullets are 6.5 RedDot, 7.0 W231, and 8.0 Unique or Universal. I've never loaded 300-grainers.

Your screen name brings a wry smile. My callsign in 'Nam was Mike 58.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

Is that the caster that was in Il. just east of Burlington Iowa? I've used and still have some D&J bullets. Good as any other for most uses.

Thank you for the replies. I'll give the Unique load a try.
