loading nitro gold 410

I'm loading a nitro gold 410 hull with a claybuster wad (red) cb 5050-410 hs and 13 grns of lil'gun powder. There is to much room in the shell. I tryed different wad depths it don't help also tryed crimping it harder it don't help. Any body else having the same problem. I'm useing a half once of shot and I don't want to go any heavier. I want stay with that hull.

I've loaded Rem STS 410 hulls with the same components other than using H-110 powder & they loaded fine. I've had some 3" hulls of off brand while loading 11\16 oz that I had to put just a little more shot in to fill the hull for crimp. An empty 22 shell makes a good dipper for that.

You might have to go to 296 powder and a Rem. wad (either or both), they take up more space.

I've used the Rem wads & haven't seen much difference.

I've called claybuster he didn't have a answer and he didn't know of anybody that had a problem with that. But he said to me that one guy would use a part of a cheerio. Sounds like to me that somebody did have a problem with that. I tryed it and it does work but I don't want to go that route because it slows things down to much. My 1/2 bar was throwing 211-213 grns. I read on another forum that you can turn your bar over and use a 1/2 drill . I now have raised to around average of 219 grns.still 1/2 oz. I'll shoot them up this weekend and try again. thx for you all input I let you know what happens.

I asked them at the skeet club they said along I'm getting consisted vel.there ok. I loaded some more up after I increased the bar there a little bit better. I think after I get this pd of lil'gun used up. I'll think I try some alliant 410 powder. Think I can go up two bushings with it. Is there any other wad I could try ?
