Fun With Mildot Master!!!!

I got one of these a little while back! I found it on the net and thought it would be interesting to play with! Now, I have been instructed how to use my Mildot scopes to range my target and also to dial in my "come-up" or use my dots for "hold-over" depending on my range. But, this little, no battery, slide-rule type firing solutin is just plain fun to use. I wanted to make sure I understood the whole theroy about size of target in yards X 1000 / Mil reading = range in yards. Then, I moved into size of target in inches X 27.77 / Mil reading = range in yards. So I had gotten fair at doing this with my calculator. But, when I started using this thing I realy enjoyed how simple it worked! If you don't have one of these tryit out, I think you will like it![:D] Here is the place : www.mildot.com

In addition to the standard ballistic trajectory, its Leica microcomputer also integrates the angle of elevation/declination, the temperature and the barometric pressure in its calculations. This brings an invaluable benefit for hunters, as it displays the point of aim in less than 0.3 seconds without any need to study ballistic tables and without laborious measuring procedures.
