30-30AI VS 308 Marlin

Just looking for opinions or insight on others experiences.
I'm toying with the idea of rechambering a Marlin to AI.
It is supposed to improve velocity/energy by a measurable ammount
and reduce bolt thrust pressures/case life to boot. Just how much
better is the 308ME?

    IMO, both are them are about like "New And Improved!" soap powder. Meaning they changed the box it comes in.

    If you think an extra few feet per second makes a magical improvement, go for it. If you think that you'll get more than a few fps - without greatly exceeding established pressure limits - you are dreaming. You can't dispense with physical laws by adding a new name.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.
