I was given almost a full pound of Re 22, I only reload 223, 308 and 30-06 and that powder was not listed in the Hornady or Speer books for any of them. What is it used for?

Re-22 is a medium slow powder suited for the larger capacity cases and heavier bullets. The only combination I use with the .30-06 is when I shoot the 220 grain bullets at moderate velocities.
Examples:
.300 Win. Mag. with 185 gr. and heavier.
.240 Weatherby with 105 gr. bullets.
Extreme opposite:
22-243 Ackley Improved with 80, 85 and 90 gr. Match VLD bullets.
I burn a lot of Re-22 and Re-25 during the competition season.
Best.
