Hey ya'll,

Does anyone know of or ever seen FMJ bullets for the .270 win or 7mm Rem Mag?

    dthhal,

    Sellier-Bellot manufactures a 140 gr. FMJ in 7mm.

    Norma manufactures a 150 gr. FMJ Semi-pointed in 7mm.

    PRVI-Partizan manufactures a 173 gr. FMJ-BT in 7mm.

I have no interest in anything .270 so I don't have a list.

    Best.

Lapua also manufactured a 170 gr. FMJ lock base in 7mm.
    Edit II:
I understand these are out of production now. Apparently some country was thinking of 7mm and Lapua obliged and then had to sell on the open market. For right now you can find these for $26.{sumpin'} a hundred @ www.gunstop.com.

    Edit, added:
Speer makes a 130 gr. TMJ in .270, which is like an FMJ. It has a BC of .426 so probably gives decent medium range trajectory at least. As far as I remember they had flat bases, not boat-tails though.

Also, regarding this, I'm sure somewhere you will see a .270 cal bullet surface in FMJ that is about the approximate weight for the 6.8 SPC. That round has been used by the military so FMJ bullets will have been made for it. And, there is going to be some test FMJ's hitting the market soon enough since it hasn't gained the favor of the military yet.
