Now all I need to find is more Varget. That does not cost $70
a pound. (with shipping)

Out! everything is on back order even online, unless you want to pay through the nose to the ones that do have it. I can get 8# jugs but I don't like keeping that much powder in the house.

    FrancF,

    Happy Father's Day!

My initial reaction to the $70.00/lb shipped/hazmat was that you were a little high. But after checking some of the larger supply houses and adding in the extras you're right. Talk about sticker shock!

    An example:

Ship Estimate For 926--* (just a trial zip code for CA)

    Subtotal Items: $20.99

    Hazmat Fee: $25.00

    Shipping: $14.12

    Insurance: $ 0.70

    Order Total: $60.81

*Estimate is based on UPS Residential Ground

I buy in bulk to save on the hazmat and sometimes just pick up an order if I'm headed in that direction. I can also take advantage of the little break for shipping given to businesses, too.

I guess I haven't thought about buying a small amount AND having to ship it. I know it won't help but you might e-mail our member 'mond' and have him tell you what a pound of powder costs in the UK... YIKES!

    Best.
