Reloading Powder Preference?

I'm back into reloading after a 20 year layoff. I reload 9MM and 45ACP. What powder is good for these calibers? Thanks.

Tite group, Bullseye, Unique, and all of the others. Tite group burns very clean and Bullseye is still tops for accuracy.

Bulls-Eye because of Cost per 100 rounds loaded and Grouping ability. . Yes it might be slightly dirty . The lower the Pressure / light loads the more smoke / soot you might have to clean your pistol every 500 rounds [:0] But I clean my pistol more often then this any-how [^]

Thanks, I actually have both Unique and BullsEye. I'll give them both a try and even try to keep them separated so I will be able to see the difference.

I use Tite Group. You don't use as much grains of powder.

I shoot both unique and bullseye. Bullseye to me is the cleaner of the 2. Bullseye also is easier to dispense as it is not a flake powder. Both perform well under fire. Good luck

Thanks again. Now I know what amount of powder to use in 9mm when I use unique or bullseye. I don't have any update or current manuals to look in for titegroup loads or winchester 231. Also 45 ACP would be helpful too.

I'm a big fan of VV n320 and AA #2 for 9x19mm.

I have been using Bullseye for years for my 40s&w and it has proven to be very accurate and not that dirty.

HP-38 goes into my 45acp.
W231 and HP-38 are the exact powders with the exact loading data, just in defferent packages [;)].

Bullseye or red dot are my favorites. HS-6 is pretty good too. Really though, unless shooting competition and you are a great shot to boot, any safe published load will be adequate and there's a whole host of powders you can use. Since you already have bullseye and unique on the shelf, either would be fine.

231 for 9mm, and 40

unique for 38 spcl.

Longshot for the .45 AA#2 or #5 for the 9. JMHO
