My own reclaimed shot, need anything?

Recently getting an interest in shotshell reloading I went to my local gun club (I'm a member) and found a substantial shot accumulation along a dirt road at the far end. I scooped up a small bucket full of dirt maybe just skimming the top 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Washed all the ground off, filtered all stones larger than the shot, and fed the rest on a slightly inclined piece of glass (the round shot rolled on down the stones stayed put as did most of the badly deformed shot. I Recovered 8lbs. of shot from that bucket! I just washed it with detergent and rinsed. Its dull and a lot has that white stuff on it. Is there anything I need do or add to this stuff? I read about graphite, but some say don't bother.
