Wulp sunday night ohio had a cold front come movin in, I went out and didn't see a thing until about dark. Big deer about 200 yards away stepped into the field, alone. I guessed it was a buck, I hit the rattle bag and he come runnin to me, slowed up about 80 yards. I'm tellin you guys he was an absolute monster, I was shaking from head to toe. He started to feed when he noticed my renzoes doe decoy in the field. Unfortunately I had it setup in a bad position to him and when he walked a little closer he must of noticed his girlfriend was only 2d and didn't look real. He blew and slowly galloped 50 yards away. Then fed until dark, and walked off....coulda cried. Oh well, you know what they say, don't get that big by bein stupid [:(]. Should be pickin up here shortly in the northeast, how ya'll doin?

    Hang in there man.

I thumped a fair 8 point Ohio buck Monday morning.

I'll post some pics soon. My huntin' bud has them on his camera.

Here's a crappy one in my truck at the house.

    Thanks Chief!

I'm not sure yet, since we only get to enter one buck. It's there as insurance I guess. The rut is really starting come alive here. I have my eye on two bucks behind the house that will blow this one away. [:D]

Thought you were only allowed only 1 antlered buck in Ohio...[?][;)]

I live in the mitten and traveled for my annual hunt in Ohio.

However....from what I read in the 08' Ohio rules, three bucks and three does.[?]

no, one buck. But if it has 3" antlers or less its considered a doe.

    That's what I thought.

One of the guys I work with is heading to the Tappan lake area for the muzzle loader season, so I brought him a rule booklet. He must have his wires crossed, or just plain can't read. I'll loan him my glasses tomorrow.
