What a season it has been. I arrived up at the farm yesterday and got set up around 6:45 am. It was about 36 degrees with a light breeze. I hit the grunt call a few times in about 5 minute intervals and at exactly 7 am this buck comes through a pine thicket. I believe it was a combination of the grunt call and the doe tarsal gland I had hung up. I think all the bucks I have taken this year probably were coming to the tarsal gland. I had taken the doe back in late October and I think she was coming in heat.
