bowhunting may get more interesting

Yesterday, I went to retrieve a gutted deer carcass that we left in the field since it was almost dark and nearly impossible to reach with the ATV after dark. When this happens, I hang an article of clothing, backpack, or something with lots of human odor right over the carcass to deter coyotes. Combination of scent and movement has always worked. Not this time. Upon reaching the kill site, I found the carcass covered with leaves and about 5# eaten off a hindquarter.
That made me do a quick 360* before I even stepped of the Polaris.
I know we have bobcats here but I didn't think bobcats did the covering thing. I've seen that in Montana and saw the tracks of what did it-about the size of a saucer.
