Led nock installation

How do you work wirh carbon shafts? Heat them just a tad?

    Should just slip in. Fit should be snug, but most nocks do not take well to heat. I have seen them become brittle & shatter after just a little heat.

    Check to make sure you have the correct size for your shaft.

    Putting them in is one thing, the old ones dont just slip out. Ive been working with arrows for forty years so its not new to me, but I dont want to heat the carbon arrows if you are not supposed to.

    Are your old nocks glued in?
    If so, you are screwed for LED nocks.
    To the best of my knowledge, no good will come from heating a carbon arrow shaft.
    The nocks on my carbon arrows turn freely and with a little force pull out.
    On the Lumnocks, they work by moving forward and making the switch.
