Any longbow shooters?

DONDALINGERDONDALINGER Member Posts: 1,541 ✭✭✭
I am looking to buy a longbow to shoot traditional. Anybody have any recommendations? I currently have a recurve and compound, but want to try the longbow. Supposedly a little more forgiving than the recurve.

I have narrowed down the draw weight to 50# and the length to 60-62".

Sorry, can't help you on that.
I have no recent experience on them.
I've shot a few in the past but they were all homemade, not factory ones.

Howard Hill was an awesome archer, possibly the best ever. I actually just bought a handmade hickory longbow that is pretty nice. I really want to get a relfex deflex design with fiberglass limbs, but am not in a hurry.
