    man I kept checking to see when somone was gonna post same here Oct 1 our season starts. I'm starting to get the itch real bad Most likly will start shooting real steady form now tll the season start.[:)]

    Hey Bang, you checked the DNR website yet to see if you got yer firearm tags? I checked mine yesterday and got both my full season tags.[:D]

    Shotgun, muzzle loader, and or handgun. Ben, I go back home every year to hunt shotgun season with my dad. Now that they've let us use handguns I took my S&W .500 last year and will from now on.

    Taco, As of yesterday mine was still pending. I hope I get them, I didn't get a spring turkey this year I hope I don't get denied deer too.

    buckey, my itch is so bad I think I have a rash[:I]. itch for season for those whose mind already wanderedanim_nono.gif. I got me some new arrows, the new bisket I can't wait to shoot. I have 4 guys comin' over on Sun. to do just that. But it just won't be like sittin' in the tree shootin deer.
    I am hoping to get out to the woods sometime in the near future to get a few pics and maybe shoot some video.
    I can almost feel-n-smell the fresh, crisp, damp, fall morning airicon_smile_drooling.gif.

    It's a lottery here in Illinois, usually in this state ya don't get turned downed for 1 because the deer population is so big here.

    15 dollars a tag here for firearm permits, we can go to wallyworld for our bow tags which I think are 26 bucks for antlerless+either sex tags.

    I just got word that I was drawn for a moose permit hunt on post. Bow only, 55 tags, either sex, Dec 15th-Jan 15th. That time frame is mostly meat as they have already shed their racks.

    Right now caribou is open in the GMU that I normally hunt, but the herds usually won't get thick till about Aug 1st. I'm trying to stay in the woods to get a lay of the new area I'm chasing the moose this fall. Bow season opens Aug 10th.
