Ok heres the scoop, you all know I filled my buck tag already so I was wondering how many of you have coyote hunted this time of year? Back early this spring, near where I took my buck, I was turkey hunting and when I was setting up I blew on my mouth call a lil to hard and it squeked...a coyote came runnin in! But I didn't have the time to get ready for the shot, they move so fast! So since I have a coyote call and all, I was thinkin while I try and fill my doe tag might as well try for a coyote right? I mean being up in a tree I probobly have a better chance of killin one[?] Could use some response....never hunted coyotes before!!!!

They're cagey and fast. Draw way early, you will not have to hold long. Practice making a squeak w/ your mouth. I can do it by sucking my bottom lip against my teeth. Once they reach 60 yards, be very still and quiet.

Best time to hunt is what night or dusk?

Suspension

I tend to see coyotes more in the evening hours close to dusk.
