Shoulder mount back !!!!!

I got my deer back from the taxidermist this weekend. This is the buck I got back in November during blackpowder season. Mine is the deer on the right and my brothers buck is on the left. [:D][:D]

Nice deer. You took it in this past November and got it back already? Wow! I've waited over 12 months before, the very quickest I have ever had was 4 months and that was because I pestered the guy so bad since he told me it would only take 3 months and I paid $75 more than normal.

mine usually take over a year. wow thats a great job in a short period of time. how much does he or she charge if ya dont mind. OH real nice buck. was that one a bow kill??

Pete, He weighed in at 125 dressed. I guess before the rut he may have gone 160 or 165 on the hoof. Like racer said, he is big for a Eastern Va. buck. I shot him with the muzzleloader Nov. 11th and about 4 weeks earlier, I had a nice buck walk within 20 yards of me in the same block of woods, but there were too many leaves for a clear shot with the bow. This buck was slightly smaller than the one I got with the ML, but he had a lot of the same rack characteristics. I killed a 5 point last year with the bow about 100 yds. from where I shot this one and I think they were all 3 related. This guy may have been there Daddy. I sure hope he bred a lot of does before the 11th. [:D][:D]

Also, the mount was $250. The guy is out of Dublin, VA. and is an awesome taxidermist. He does a lot of work for NFL players. He mounted the white wolf I posted pics of a few weeks back. It is the fastest turnaround I ever had. I plan on using him from now on.
