    Very simple to make....You can use 6inch pipe or 8..Youll need;
    About a 5 foot piece of pipe
    2 over/end caps
    and a "Y" fitting... NOT a "T"
    PVC glue.
    We use schedule 40 pvc pipe cause its FREE. You can probably use a "Lightwieght" Pipe also.
    Glue the "Y" onto the bottom of the pipe with one opening{45 degree angle}pointing up.
    Youll have to cut about a 6 inch piece of pipe{a sleeve} to fit into the very bottom to install the bottom Cap over,Glue together.
    Drill holes in the very bottom of the cap for drainage.
    Fill it up and install the top cap LOOSELY...Don't glue the top on.
    You can bungee it to a tree or pound a stake into the ground to attach it to,The * WILL pull it over if you dont...
    We have cammo painted a few and left a few white with no difference in feeding...Good-Luck!

    I don't fully understand what you wrote about the 45 pointing upwards. Can you supply a few pics.
    Thanks,

    One type of feeder that I have heard about is also easy to make. Take some type of container (five gallon bucket or small barrel) and cut a few two to three in holes in the bottom. Make one hole in the center about 3/4" for a wooden dowel rod. Cut a piece of plastic "plate" a little smaller than the bottom of your container. This piece will cover the holes. Attach the dowel rod to the center of the "plate" and then attach a second plate about 3 or 4" diameter to the end of the dowel rod sticking out the bottom. The idea is that when it's hanging, only deer can reach it and hit the plunger to make more food fall out. They say that you can put peanut butter on the plunger to train the deer what they need to do in order for food to fall out. It's all contained so rain and snow shouldn't be a problem either. If this doesn't make sense, I can draw something up and post it here.

    FEEDERS.jpg

    This is the way that I understand his plan. I hope it's right. If not let me know and I'll edit my drawing. I hope these are large enough for the details to be undstandable. His plan is on the left and mine on the right. The sleeve in his is necessary because the "Y" can slide over the pipe but the end cap and "Y" are the same diameter so a small piece is needed to attach them. Hope this helps.

    I use huge buckets I get that hold 100lbs of pool chemicals. Cut two or three upside down "v"s just above the bottom on the sides. Fill with corn after you get it in the woods, snap the top on and tie to a small sapling. I've even bolted them to 3'x3' squares of plywood to keep from toppling over in open areas. I hot glue old camo shirts on them to hide them. Holds well over 50lbs of corn.
