Deer make me Itch

I've benn hunting for years and never had any problems The past five years or so if I feild dress my deer then touch my neck or oyher area I break out pretty bad. Start sneezing the itch is real bad and it last for about 3 hrs . Whats up with that. My buddy's thought I wanted them to dress m deer till yhey saw it for themselves .. I've benn told its the dander . man its nasty, but It's not gonna stop this boy.[;)]

No seriously I have been around Deer for years all of a sudden I mean itch my neck turns real red almost like hives. It's intense.

Who you calling Boy?[:D] Actually its embarassing I had to let my buddy feild dress the last deer I got thats how bad it was . From now on rubber gloves and try to to touch any open skin. I know you like to touch open skin Gay boy[:I][:0][:D]

I always wear gloves when dressin' just easier clean up and I get them free from work.

My dad had exactly the same problem. Thought he was kidding me to get out of dressing and skinning deer. But it was for real. He couldnt ride in the same vehicle, and he told me if the woods was full of deer his eyes would even itch. Bothered him until he passed away.

Have a guy at camp with almost the same thing, He thought it was the blood. Gets all red rash on his arms.

hey buckey don't feel bad, i am and always have been allergic to deer hair. I first discovered it when I started tying my own flies. Once i get it on my hands, wherever i touch breaks out in a rash and itches. Then come the sneezing fits. I have to wear gloves when i dress deer and i have to be carefull not to touch anything until i've rinsed off. Horse hair does the same thing to me. All my friends make fun of me but hey what are friend for.

Yep thats it the sneezing the itch you explained it to a tee. Wont stop me from hunting though[8D]

Me either. Just have to keep gloves and Benadryl on hand at all times.
