Ive' been using climbing stands for years and sometimes I miss judge how much of and angle to start with at the base of the tree and thats not so bad when the foot platform is slightly pointing up. However when it's pointed down it can make for a real uncomfortable hunt and who wants to decend and readjust early in the am . check this out and see what you think. watch the video.

I undersand this is not a new topic. Just wondering what climbing stand you all have and how you like it. Thinking about getting another. I did buy one from dicks that I will leave in the woods cause it weighs 28 lbs but for 99 bucks I figured what the heck.. I like my summit because no pind or parts..... they have one out now called timbertall weighs only 12 pounds but it has pins for locking soknowing me they would be lost real fast.[;)]

I have a Goliath and like it. I think it weighs about 20-21 lbs. I also have one of those 99$ ones you are talking about. BIG difference between a 20 lb one and 28 lb one! Carry one for a mile or two like I have to in some areas. Oh no pins on this one either.

I have a carbon fiber old man that I use most frequently. It has pins, but they are attached to the stand with a small metal cord, and I have a couple of bolts that I carry just in case.

I like it. It's light, completely flat when folded, and a sturdy stand.

Bang how much does it weigh[?] I like my summit too but its like 22 lbs then fanny pack bow cloths (optionl) gets heavy after a long trek through the woods. I may just tighten up my old loggy and use that. its like 15 lbs.

20lbs. Check out a lone wolf, they are really light. I don't know about the comfort I have not sat in one.

fanny pack? I thought only girls wore fanny packs.[:D] I take a back pack and wear it on the front or stick it on one arm.

Summit Bushmaster...16 lbs...a compact and quiet climber. It's been replaced at Summit by another model. They're worth buying if you find one for sale.

Hey, how is the lone wolf on comfort? How do you like the built in bow holder? I had a chance to buy one at the Deer and Turkey classic last year for a $100 off regular price but past it up. Not sure if it was a good decision.

I have a Summit Goliath as well and will hunt out of it almost everywhere! For me it is the summit or a blind. After the stability of the summit I dont want to even tru anything else.

bang, the lone wolfis a very light stand.its very easy to use and makes very little noise.the bow holder you have to try your bow in not all fit right.we sell alot of them because in this part of ny you have to walk a while to get away from everybody.as far as comfort not bad depending on how big you are, seats tend to be small.
