ok, i wrote this for my motorcycle forum, so its not quite in context for you guys, but i don't have time to edit it. today is busy at work. but check it out...
Ok, per a previous thread, moving sucks. But its all done now, and boy was it worth it i had hoped to do a bit better of a write up, but i don't have internet at the house yet, so i've been trying to upload pics at work when i get a minute here and there. In case you haven't figured it out, living in the city or subburbs would be a nitemare for me, so this place is literally heaven for me and my roomate. It is a 207 acre, fully functional cattle farm. It is loaded with deer, squirrels, rabbits, groundhogs, raccoons, and turkeys. There is plenty of room to get some nice long range shots in also its basically just a little guest cottage that is about 500 yards away from the main house (that I might add is going to be vacant for a few years). It ain't much to look at, but its nice and cozy and only 6 miles from work instead of 30. there isn't another house in sight, and you can't hear any traffic from any road. Its paradise.
I had hunting this property for years until the owner passed away two years ago. Now its kind of a dream come true to get to live there. The guy who bought it is starting next week to excavate a 2 acre, 24 ft deep pond that will sustain trout, bass, cat, and perch. Did i mention yet that its heaven?
here's some pics, appologies to those with dial up.
The first pic is just of the house.
the second pic is looking down the driveway leaving the house
the third pic is of the house from the driveway again, but a few hundred yards away.
the last photo is the backside of the property from a different angle.
i'll quit rambling now, i was just super excited.

Ever ridden your bike up to a place called "Peaks of Otter"? Its worth it.
Hey Racer, you are not far from me. Are you in Bedford Co? Floyd Co? It looks familiar. My buddy lives near Smith Mt.Lake. When I go see him I take Rt.24 from 360 outside of Appomattox. Go through a little town called Rustberg. It is truly Gods country out there. Congrats on the new place.

i was living in bedford county before, but now i'm in amherst county. i used to live 15 minutes from the peaks, and i go up there at least once a month just to eat and look at the deer. and my girlfriend lives in rustburg, so i know exactly where you are talking about. it truly is God's country around here.
