I'm Florida born and bred, It is always flat, and rarely is it even cool . . . if I spotted a deer track in the snow Rod Sterling's voice over "Welcome to the Twilight Zone" would come soon after ;-)

I hope I did better than some of yall and know I didn't do as good as most of you guys, but seriously, I don't know nothing about hunting no ridges or snow.

They didn't even have one question about hunting planted pines, or hardwood swamps, they obviously NEVER hunted Florida.

I just noticed, there are 4 quizes.

    one on hunting tactics
    one on buck behavier
    one on rifle hunting
    one on bow hunting

I took the second test the first time around. Will now take the tactics and bow hunting one.

I got 100 but those questions are suspect.... depending on weather conditionstype of woods and part of the country. example I have rattled here in RI never to have seen a buck come in. I have rattled in illinois two bucks came in Rattled quite a few in North Dakota, inRI iseems like they pay no attentin at all . Just gripein cause I only got 100[:I][:D][:D] seriously I think deer have personalities like dogs horses and every other animal some are shy and seclusive while athers are curious and bold so who the heck knows what thay are going to do???[?]

Hmmm, I didn't notice that either. I'm guessing I did tactics.

    i did better on #2 too...but not that good......[:I]
i've been in contact with a dog trainer [as we may be get'n a Lab] an he said dogs [most all animals] are born into the world just like people, some big some are small, some really smart an learn quickly an some are dumb an some just never get it.... etc. etc. so as buckeyBoy says: "I think deer have personalities like dogs horses and every other animal have." i agree with my dog trainer [& BB..]

It's been a while Buckey. I wouldn't expect anything less in return. I'm just trying to fit in.

    BTW Buckey, been fishing lately[?]

I got 60 on the first, 100 on the second, and 60 on the archery one. These are some tough questions, but I learned some stuff too.

Terrible on the rifle test, 40. The people who wrote the test in my opinion are not to ethical. To me it doesn't matter if it is a "Buck of a lifetime" or not. Right is right, and wrong is wrong.
    Bow test, 100.

well i just got thru.... #3 did much better, i'll get to #4 tomorrow "just stretch'n it out "...
Chief S... i think you mite be rite !.. like the question droping the gun an hitting the scope... i've done that, was early in the day too, [it didn't change my zero point `luckily'] got a good dent in it too... but i'd never shoot in woods to see if it needed a re-sighting like they said to do, rather i just continued to hunting .. went back to camp early an check it there " so i got that answer wrong on the test"[B)]

lol's, i took test #4 it says i'm not a bow hunter Ha' actually i'm not .. although i did go on 5 hunts over the years, got 3 out 5 .. 2 doe deer an 1 spike/fork .. the 1st year, 1st day shoot a bow[later in the evening] i had a real big buck walk close to a apple tree i was, with a fast thumping heart i took the shot an from the sound of it i hit him the horns? 'maybe'. went back the next day found my broadhead 'No blood no hair' arrow was stuck in the grass .... [:I] anyone else ever do that..[?]

What a crock. I have to admit I did not test well (I've been hunting for 30 years). After completing the first section I could have done better if I chose the answer they wanted instead of what my experience has taught me. If I followed their facts and tactics I wouldn't see or get close to 1/3 of the deer I do. Some of the questions didn't even have the "best" or even the "correct" answer listed. I agree with the ethics comment. Specificly in the case about the neck shot on the deer facing away. Seems it is OK to take it on a trophy buck but the shot should be passed on any other because it is not ideal?[B)] Or the aim and pray answer?[:(!] Here in ND I can't say I have EVER seen a buck work a scrape during daylight hours. The guys who wrote this are definately stuck "inside the box".
