My wife came home last night and her good friend has a girlfriend that my wife has become friendly with... She is a single Mom and has a 21 year old son that I was told is obsessed with bows and hunting , watches all the shows but has no one to teach him.... I called him on the phone hes comming over tonite. They dont have hardly any money so I gonna try and hook him up he said he would film for me to learn...
I dont have any of my own children Im seeing this as a great opertunity to pass on to a youngster the skills of bowhunting. what do you guys think??? speaking of youngsters Dabowman dropped out of sight???

I learned from relatives, not my parents..both my uncles and grandfather taught me everything I know, I plan to pass it on to anyone ! Believe it or not the sport is dying...not enough kids "know" the outdoors anymore.

Shoot, I wish someone around here would teach me a thing or two!!! I'm 29 and just getting ready to buy my first bow (no one I know hunts with a bow). As a matter of fact, kinda got into hunting on my own, my dad stopped before I can remember. Been rifle/shotgun hunting for about 6 years now. Shooting (target) for 8 years. I have not shot a bow since I was about 12 in cub scouts. Kinda lost as to where to start. Gonna test some bows at Cabelas this month.

Very rewarding teaching and experiencing thier First-Harvest with them. I have 5 kids, from 2 to 24..3 hunt with me, the youngest cant yet. I have spent many, many hours teaching them all that I can. I would rather see all of them with thier tags-filled then myself and I try to give them the best stand locations, trails etc..If I had to stop hunting today to ensure that my kids would/could continue,I'd do it in a second!

    Good-luck buckey,
Someday,He will probably be very greatful that you are taking the time to teach him what you can and wont forget it...
