Another off topic, still hunting related

I took my dog and shotgun out for a walk last night. Got one nice rooster pheasant. It got up between me and another guy. He fired 3 shots, and I hit it with my 5th. Talk about a golden BB moment. Bird was at least 45 yards out! I always sneak in a turkey load for my last shell for desperation shots like that. It did its job. Bird had a 22" tail and 5/8" spurs on it. I froze it for a mount to be done later.

Nice bird man! I keep forgetting about pheasant being open. I need to get out and get a couple.

Ok, I dropped it at the taxidermist. $210 when it will be finished. There are cheaper places, but this guy specialized in birds. There were others up to $350, but I wasn't going to pay that much for a bird. Maybe a deer if I get one. Oh well. I should have it back in about 6 months.
