My 11 year old shot a basket racked 9 20 minutes into season on Sat. It is his first antlered deer. It was a great experience for us both. After it went down he first told me that he loves me. Then said that we had to get it mounted and I agreed. Finally he says that now he can watch the OSU-Mich. game.[:D]

Hope to get the field ones developed this week then need a friend to scan them.
Just a thought, but you might check around with any trappers you might now. A lot of guys around this area get laid off through the winter months, they trap and do a little taxidermy on the side. Most of them are between $120 and $180 for a decent mount. Materials and tanning run around $70 plus the labor.

Great pics! That's gonna be a pretty mount with that dark face. Is it the picture or is it almost completely black? Looks really good.
Not the pics. He was just really dark.
Side note: be glad he was with you when he did this because it will be something he remembers. It will mean more to him as he gets older!
