I say yes if its bowhunting, since most of the bow hunters I know work M-F and a half day on Sat. Plus most of the guys I know take a week off for gun season.

Seems that I read that there are only about 7 States that do not allow Sunday Hunting.
    .
Ohio recently changed that law here (about 2 yrs. ago)to allow us Sunday Hunting.Have yet to hear any opposition, even from any landowner.
    .
I wonder who Lobbied at sometime years ago to institute this law.
    .
I think it is a great thing for those that work or attend School Mon.-Fri.,and may have to work till 4 or 5 when it gets dark at 5:30.
    .
I have wondered if the people that help enact these laws even have any interest in hunting.Might it be that they just wanted a White Collar Job after a few years of Collage to sit behind a desk.I suppose our Game Wardens sometimes are not Hunters either.Maybe never experienced hunting at all.

    I am confused at times.

    We park on driveways,

    and drive on parkways.

Most of the old "blue" laws have been repealed or at the very least forgotton. The hunting parts have been kept active due to anti hunting and anti gun groups. do you think that these groups feel the same as Wal Mart being open on sunday?

I believe that the laws prohibiting different things on Sun. were religion based. On Sun. you are supposed to spend your time with your family at church praying. Seems as tho with all of the other stuff open and such that to be fair and even handed all of the Sun. blue laws should be done away with. Who better to decide what is best for you and your family than you?[:)]

We hunt on Sundays for big game now, and it makes total sense! Most people work during the week with weekends off. More deer killed is good here in New York, to many deer!

Some of my most religious moments have been in the woods. In fact, I could argue that hunting and fishing is critical to practicing my religion, reflecting on my life, and staying in good standing with God. So why not hunt on Sunday? It is supposed to be a day of relaxation, right?

We've always been able to bow hunt on Sunday in Ontario. No guns, but the law actually says no hunting within earshot of a chruch. It's been turned into no hunting on Sunday. I say we ban religion and turn all the churches into indoor ranges and watering holes. Then all the holy rollers will mind their own business and leave the rest of us alone.
