what do u carry into the woods

headzilla97headzilla97 Member Posts: 6,445
bow?
back pack?
fanny pack? whats in it
yes the season is approaching fast and i need to pack and take inventory of what i need to get

My old man's backhand used to land,
Hard on the side of my head.
I just learned to stay out of his way.
There's been streetfights, blue lights,
Long nights with the world sittin' on my chest:
It just showed me how much I could take.
Hard times, bad luck.
Sometimes, life sucks.
That's all right, I'm ok.
It ain't nothin' but another day.

Bow & release, Summit Bushmaster w/safety harness, Scent Blocker bag w/Scent Blocker Plus gear, Nikon 8x36 binos, Buck Alpha Hunter, Stylus pen lights in green and white, and a large fanny pack w/CHARMIN, attractants & cover scents, scent wafers, wind checker, Bushnell Scout rangefinder, water bottle, saw & pruners, pull-up rope, orange flagging tape, allen wrench tool, grunt tube, the Can, rattling horns or bag if applicable, screw-in hooks, camera...hmmm, I hope I haven't forgotten anything...

I always carry my bow, fanny pack full of the usual crap, binnoculars and always some hard candy, beef jerkey, sandwich. a can of water or soda. It's a lot easier to sit longer when your belly is full.[:I] I hate carrying all that stuff but I'm happy I have it after 2or 3 hours on stand good trade off.[:p]

    Gogo...

...have you ever seen the Michelen Man dressed in camo? [:D][:D][:D]
Most of my stuff fits into my double fanny pack w/water bottle pouch and depending on the hunt I try to have my Summit (only 16lbs) waiting for me on the tree. If it's warm I pack my Scent Blocker in and dress at the tree...depending on the wind. I reckon I shouldn't tease my better half about her purse?? [:)]

ain't nobody arresting me. Why do you carry "no spray" manson?

taco, I always have my fiancee carry everything in to my stand for me, then I let her run around the thickets to stir up a ruckess and push deer towards my stand. I want her to try wearing antlers this year since the new insurance policy came through, but still haven't figured a way to keep them strapped on good enough when she makes the short bursts through the thickets and briars. Oh what a dream I have.....[:D][:D] after rereading that it kinda sounds like I'm engaged to a beagle doesn't it...[:0][:(!]

I don't take spray because I go with my dad and we got private land and my stands only like 100ft from where we park so I just spray myself when we get out of the truck then I walk to my stand. it seems to work and I don't stay up there to long cause the old man gets tired or something and when he wants to go then I got to go.

Try mounting them on the plastic shoulders of some old football gear. That should hold them tight.

LMAO....[:D][:D] the stabilizer comment is priceless that's for sure.
I've always wondered what kind of person could dream up some of those cartoons, almost a little scary really. [:D]

That brings up a good question, when does out moderator check out the forum? I'm glad he setup the automatic posting, but he always had good insight to questions.

Some of the stuff mentioned in other replys, plus a small compass, a cough silencer (those darn alergies), a two-way radio (sometimes), an archery deer license, an archery turkey license, and a knife (I am an optimist) [:D]

It seems everytime I leave my knife at camp I get a deer so I never bring that with me anymore.
