ok well I went out this weekend for shotgun and saturday mornning I didnt see nothing at all and my friend logan said he seen a buck and about 7 does walkin around out of range so since he wasnt hunting the afternoon hunt because he had to go to his big brothers wedding. I went by his stand and I was getting ready to climb the stand and I got to the top and all it was was 2 2X4's screwed into 2 trees and a pallet tied to the 2X4's with a piece of wire. so I didnt go in it and I sat on the ground. and I was in there all the way till dark and didnt see nothing. well right when it was getting dark 3 does come right out the woods. I'm in a bean field by the trees on the corner. so I was watching them and they were to small to shoot so I was watching them eating a snadwich and there I swear not 3 yards away from me. and I am waiting for a buck to walk up cause there in rut here in indiana. and I hear him grunting and hear him walking around in the woods and he never came out of the woods. so I came back after dark and went to sleep and got up in the morrning and was in my stand by 5am and the sun rose at 6:30 I think and so before it was even light I had 6 does walking behind me and I didnt think nothin of it. So I sat there and I heard some shots so I was ok here they come. and sure enough here comes a doe and a buck. well I didnt shoot the buck at the time so I shot the doe and it was probably 10 yards away from me. and it was running at full speed and I aimed ahead and shot and hit it in the back of the legs and it fell straight down and then I seen the buck strutin around and it kept coming straight at my so I said ok your dead too. and shot and it went in a 360degree circle and hit on its back and went down so I walked up shot em in the kneck to kill em. and I went to my friend jim in a stand by me and I said I needed some help and he said so do I I shot a 200lbs 10 pointer. so I said ok I'll go get the truck. and I went and got the truck and got jim and we went to get his buck and when we we dragging that deer out of the brush by the woods we had to drag it about 70 yards. and that was a workout. so there was no way us to a 17 year old(me) and a 51 year old(jim) so I said I'll go get my dad so I drove jim to his truck and he went to get some others of the guys. and I went to my dad and I said I need some help I got a doe and a buck and kim got a 10 pointer. and he said well I need some help to cause I got a doe. so I pulled the truck around and pulled his through the woods and put it in the truck and by the time we got back to get jims buck they had already gottin the buck up and back at the house already. so me and my dad went and got mine. and my buck ended up being a 6 pointer and weighted 132lbs dressed and my doe was about 110lbs dressed and my dads doe was 115lbs dressed and I dont know what jims deer weighed yet. I got some pics but didnt get to get them yet cause there on my dads camera so I'll post them on here when I get the pics.
