I was wondering about those. I know that most scentbloc are just charcoal, so will these old suits work? I hated them in the Army but for ten-20 bucks it seems it would be worth it.

Looks like just the olive drab ones are sold out..??
I'd think is they have charcoal lining then they should do something. Somebody buy a set and see.....

Never mind, I can't order it, they only have it in medium & 2XL. I don't think that medium would be long enough or allow me wear other clothes under it. 2XL will make me trip. [:D]

Buy one of those suits if you don't mind covering your body and everything you are wearing under the suit in carbon. You'll be scrubbing and washing for days.

What are you talking about? MOPP gear has never cover me in carbon.

If the suits are new in wrappers they will smut you up if you put them on right out of the pack. You need to wash them once in cold water before wearing them for the first time. By the way, I have a bunch of these in camo and O.D. Some are new in package. Several Sizes. Let me know if you guys want any. sniper762@nc.rr.com

you have to wash any NEW military issuse MOPP suit at least once, if not you'll be covered in carbon .... not fun to get off either!!! As far as working as a scentlock? i can't see why they wouldn't, when they are new they're supposed to stop Biological and chemical as well as nuclear agents.... at least that's what they always told us, i used my old issue suit that i borrowed from our Uncle Sam when i got out till i got new set of duds for hunting

I have killed several deer while wearing the suit, but have killed some when not wearing it also. I dont see why they would not block your scent though. They block incoming gases, should block outgoing also. I have a few S,M and LG I'll let go for $15 each (new in wrapper)if anyone is interested then email me at sniper762@nc.rr.com

You guys ever see an old Soviet MOPP suit? I don't think they had carbon. I've seen them here in Baku at the "8 Kilometer Bazaar" (sort of like a two-block long, street version of Lowe's Hardware). They use them here like overalls when sandblasting buildings. You can never tell what you might find there.

i am doing a research paper on the use of scents and scent control form the 60s to the present.saw some discussions of chemical suits and there use for hunting. i especially need information for the period from 1980 to 1990. if anyone can provide some information plese reply.[?]
