Vacumm Sealers The Cats

crosshaircrosshair Member Posts: 635 ✭✭✭✭
Meow! Received a vacumm sealer from my parents for my birthday and boy it is great. Vacummed all the jerkey and steaks from crosshair Jr.'s buck and won't live without one now. I asked earlier in another post about them and I really like it. Bags are a little costly by what I have seen but well worth it. Fresh and sealed tightly. Sealed all the deer jerky tightly but don't know whether to freeze it or just fridge it and pull it out as needed to eat. I suppose it will keep both ways for at least a year since it is sealed and also with all the seasoning in it. How could it possibly go bad within a year either way. What do you guys think. First time vacumm sealing so I am just trial and erroring right now.[;)]

For Jerky I leave it at room temperature sealed in bags. For deer sticks I freeze them.
I never have much jerky so it usually only lasts a month maybe two before it's gone.
I knew you'd like the vacumm sealers. [:)]
