Top bowhunters are normally trappers?

Did anyone else see the special show on espn this past weekend about some of the top bowhunters in the US? It told how they got involved in bowhunting and stuff like that. Most of them grew up and started out as big time trappers, like traveling to several different states to trap. Seemed like a lot of them based their expertise and knowledge on trapping and what they learned there.
