pheasant hunting anyone

They just released some pheasants by my house last week. So what do I do Take the beagle for a walk where they let them loose and she put up 5 give me shots and I have no gun. October first here we come. I did jump a nice big bodied buck but he was about 300 yards away and couldnt make out any horns on him

You live too far away man... I love pheasant hunting! We are still a month and a half out, but I will be out with my lab come opener.

My 11 yr old has start wing shooting. He's done well with the quail. He's anxious about pheasent shooting.

I really miss pheasant hunting. I grew up with it in MN. Didn't get to do a lot of it while I was in the Navy except a couple of times in CT, but it was just pen-raised birds that they would throw out the weekend before. Same thing while I was in PA. Now I live in GA and we don't have pheasants down here.[:(]
