Ladder stand users beware

Just a safety note: My boss took a nasty tumble while climbing his ladder stand. Apparently the rigid support strut that goes from the ladder to the tree was not propperly secured and the ladder buckled toward the tree while he was near the top. This is the second time I have heard of this happening. I've always thought the "ladder" on these type of stands was way too light. Sorry don't know the make.
