It was 70 blasted degrees at 5:30 this morning on the way to the stand. The only blood I ended up getting on me was my own from killing mosquitos. Doubt I even go out tonight. I will be taking my Thermacell tomorrow when I take my son out for the youth hunt.

    It was 68 and rainy this morning on my way to work. I am hoping that it will blow through today/tonight and will be cool in the morning. I gotta get us on the board.[:D]

    Supposed to be partly sunny with a high of 83 and less humidity tomorrow. I hope so, cuz it is awful muggy out there right now. I am off to bed soon. Got to get up at 4 to get to the lease on time.

    Went out this evening..... thought it would be a total waste of time. After about an hour in the stand 3 very nice healthy looking does came right behing the stand and stood there for about 5 min eating acorns, they never even had a clue i was less than 5 yards from them. Unfortunately the HOT weather around here has really shut the bucks off.... they are not moving at all. Tomorrow is supposed to be 88. Thankfully by next week it is supposed to drop into the 50's! That should get the bucks fired up again.

    It'll be in the 90's here for the next few days. Humid as hell also.

    Saw nothing Sat. morning hunting with my son. The deer are already bedded down by sunrise. We went out this evening and hunted from a blind in shorts. Saw a few but nothing close. Didn't really want him to shoot anyway since it was 85 out but we went anyway since he had a permit. You never know when the big boy will happen by.
