Tree rat up close and personal

I had a squirrel near the tree the other day and also had my camera. He came very close (8" in the one picture) I had to go to Macro...

    The squirrel was a diversion while the big buck slipped by you. I had it happen once when I was a kid. Had a squirrel hope up on the log I was sitting on and while I was watching the squirrel a six point walked by me within a few yards. I didn't even see him.

    I know this because my Grandfather was close enough to see me and the buck. He killed the buck just as I was about to shoot the squirrel.

    He never did let me live that down. My punishment was to drag the buck out of the woods for him.
