I let a forky walk. He lingered around at 10 yrds. He came back 1 hour later and gave me a shot at 30. He was on the 3 strikes your shot tour. He didn't come back though. I did notice that when you try to stop a coyote, the mouth baa that will stop a deer only makes a yote pick up the pace.

The best way that I have found to stop a coyote is to yip like a little dog. I have only had two keep running after hearing that, and they were both on to me anyway.

Kiss, I had a yote come in last season and I started a rapid high pitch kissing and he came closer ears up and lookin' around, he's now dead. If the yote is already in range 1 good kiss has stopped everyone for me.
This has also stopped a yote that was at a good trot across a field when I was out with a 22-250.
