bang250bang250 Member Posts: 8,021
a post on another board got me wondering, do any of you make your one scent killer sprays?? If so do you feel they work just as good or better than store bought?

Why do they make it taste so good and put it in them little bitty cans- Dad

Gun bans have never accomplished anything, other than to create a safe working environment for criminals.

    I buy mine at bath & body works, don't you [?] [:D]

I buy that scent killer stuff with the brown label and white spray bottle. Never heard of making your own.

Ya know that home made stuff does sound pretty good and cheap too.

Now here are the problems with the homemade stuff. Peroxide on clothing is a BIG BIG BIG NO NO. First off it bleaches out the colors and second it eats the fibers of the fabric. I hate to admit to the susie homemaker side of me, but I think that the cost of replaceing the clothing when the colors fade and they start to tear apart would be greater than the cost of scent killer without peroxide in it. I just buy it at the end of the season and put it up for next year. Can get it at 1/3 the price then normally.

its all about pucks and bucks

I have wondered about just maknig my own with nothing more than the Baking Soda. The Baking Soda has been used for many years to remove the odor from various things. What good purpose does the Peroxide and Shampoo do?

Use the Baking Soda, let dry a few minutes and then put my Deer Deodorant/Attractant on.

    1-Powder
    2-Patch
    3-Ball
    4-Remove the Rod
    5-Do Not Forget the Cap.

I made some new stuff. Boy it works great. it's called wind in a bottle. When the deer gets a whif of you you simply open the bottle and like magic the wind direction changes. Please send $ 19.95 to Buckeys wind in a bottle Hurry supplies are limited.[:o)][:o)][:o)][:D]

Not scent killer but cover scent. I usually make up a gallon of either oak or walnut scent just before bow season. Used to make up the earth scent but I seem to make it waaay too strong each time.
