Quick question

I was at my favorite pawn shop today. While there I bought another gun[:D]. While there a bow that was hanging right behind me snapped a string. Now the question; has anybody else been close when that has happened? I've seen guys dry fire a bow and that's loud, but this is the first time i've ever seen one snap.

When I was a kid,I had a string snap on my Bear Whitetail when I was drawing an arrow. Part of the string slapped my cheek and left one helluva welt...Scared the helloutame! I still have that bow, got it for x-mas when I was 14. Its 28 years old![:0] It shoots alot like a Mathews[;)]....[:D]

Ive heard people dry fire but never anythig like that. too bad you weren't a litte closer and the string would have hit you and the gun would have been free.

If a string would happen to break while drawn or nearly at full draw would maybe take a persons eye out.Or do much damage.Maybe just feel as though it took your eye out.

About ten years ago or so I half dry fired a bow at a bow shop. The string slipped out of my fingers. Needless to say my father was not to happy and my butt was a little sore on the way home. [B)]

I was next to a guy when one of his limbs broke, that was a shocking sound.
I saw a guy cocking a crossbow once when something happened to cause it to release, before his fingers where out of the way. It looked pretty painful and he cursed up a storm.
