Any suggestions for upgrading the sights on a '73 Win repro by Uberti? What it came with looks pretty rough to me.

I just got my Uberti 1873 SAA fixed. The spring that operated the cylinder lock had broke. Now just after I get it home, the loading gate(or whatever you call it)is loose. It will open just a bit by simply tilting the gun to the right. Is there any way to fix this? See pic below.

    new glasses.......................

couldn't resist, you might try williams they carry all types of fiber optics, won't be original but they do work with older eyes....

    Thanks fellers !

New glasses ain't such a bad idea . . . but it's mostly the eyes behind 'em that are lacking [:D]
