WTK about CVA Express rifle 50 caliber

Picked this up in trade. CVA Express rifle in 50 caliber. Looks to be unfired. Does not have a butplate on it though, just the butt has the same finish all over like the machine applied finishes go. Is this something of a collectable that i will hurt the value by firing it?

No collector value that I know of. Made strictly as a hunting gun. Heavy to tote around. No buttplate is the way they were made. I will say that you do not see many at the gunshows. CVA has always been in the low price category, but they function well.
They were also sold with a set of 12 ga. shotgun barrels that gave you a shotgun / rifle switch-barrel combination.
