Please Help to identify Kentucky Rifle

altnuttaltnutt Member Posts: 80
Can someone identify this Kentucky rifle? There is no signature on barrel. The side plate has some writing which I can barely make out ?HRAHTED. I am not sure on the lettering, it is the best I can see. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The lock probably says "WARANTED". Without a name on the barrel it is impossible to identify the maker. My sense is that it may be a New England area gun made 1830 to 1860. It is plain, well made and in very good condition. The reality is that it could have been made anywhere between New York and Missouri, unless a knowledgeable collector can narrow it down to an area or school of makers.
