Black Powder Substitute Choice?

Anyone here use BP substitute powders in an their frontstuffers? I don't mean in-lines, but the more traditional sidelocks? I've got a Pedersoli .45 caliber Kentucky rifle and an Armi Sport 1861 Springfield that I'd like to feed with something other than black powder. And on-line searches just muddy the waters for me.
There's Pyrodex, but it's supposed to be considerably more corrosive than black. Others, such as GOEX Pinnacle and Triple Seven are reported to cause heavy fouling when used with any kind of lubricants. They work fine with saboted bullets but don't seem to like Wonder Lube or any of its cousins. Any ideas/experiences? Thanks.
