Would appreciate some assistance on reloading data, both powder charge and bullet weight in BP OR MODERN SMOKELESS powder for 40-70 sharps straight cartridge Have custom Borchardt action with modern steel barrel and Martini action with modern barrel. Would like to know type , weight of projectiTe over 400 grains with load of powder, EITHER SMOKELESS, bLACK POWDER; BP SUBSITUTE OR??( type POWDER in grains and which primer recommended thanks

    For BP (from SPG book: 1) 380 gr. bullet, sized .410", Fed. 210 primer, card wad, 61 gr. 2fg
    2) 411 gr., .410", Fed 215 primer, card wad, 58.5 gr. 2fg

    For BP substitutes, use VOLUME equivalent loads and reduce Triple Seven/American Pioneer by 10%. Hope this helps. Emery
