Smokeless Cowboy Load for 45 Colt

I have seen, somewhere, that there is a new powder available for BP cartridges that is bulkier than, say, Bullsey, or Unique.

Any help?

You're probably thinking of Trailboss by Hodgdon. It looks like little doughnuts!

I've never tried it, I shoot BP. When I was using smokeless, I used Clays in my 45's. Try here for the load data.

R D is right on the money, Trailboss is what you are looking for. Light load fills the case, low presure and is clean to shoot.

Trailboss has nothing to do with bp shooting.I's a smokeless powder,period.
It's made for cowboy-type low recoil loads,and any realtionship to bp is .....well,there isn't any.

Hey Mort, I see where the confusion is. Challenger's question is about a smokeless powder, but he said "for BP cartridges". That part kinda got me too at first.
