What experience do you'all have with Shockey's Gold in a TC 209/50?
Prefer it in Sticks or loose? Bullet choice? (250 gr vs 300 gr?)
Type/Maker/style/Sabot?

I have never heard of shockeys.

I have used 777 almost exclusivly in my encore 209x50, it may of had 20-30 charges of pyrodex but then came 777 and I never looked back.

I have use 85-90grs 777 with every bullet I have tried.

*90 grs of 777 w/ 290 sum gr Barnes X saboted bullet. pattered well but was a bear to load clean gun or none.

*90 gr 777 w/ 295 power belt also patterened well but performed poorly on deet, prolly due to high velocity and short ranges.

*85gr 777 with T/C 250 gr xpt??? & black mag sabots. great pattern super cheap poor performance with deer size animals again velocity and close range turned the bullet into a grenade

    *Current load*

*90 gr 777 w/ 275 tc maxi hunter, good pattern havn't had the chance to see it in action but the range bullets recovered had 90%+ wieght retention. I have also tried the 350gr maxi and it to patterened well I will use it for Elk.

Yeah, but I bet it killed the deer.

works great. clean up is quick and only need water. I use 120 grain FF loose with 295 grain HP Powerbelt bullets. run a patch between shots and accuracy is great. Have shot several deer with this load and it works.

had poor luck with it when hunting in cold conditions , sighted the T/C Encore in during mid 50's , gun was shooting good groups, dead on at 100 yards , hunted with it later that fall when temps had fell to below freezing , missed a nice doe at about 75 yards , shot went very low , so when i got home i shot it again off the bench , gun was shooting about 2 feet low , if i remember right i shot 3 rounds off the bench that day and all of them went low

    never used it since
