newbie to black powder/ used 44 cal cylinders

I'm an intermediate shooter but am completely new to black powder. I was given a beautiful and new f.llipietta 44 cal revolver. Can anyone tell me where to buy new or good used cylinders? I'd like to do some pre-loading before I go to the range.

jrrtex, welcome, but to answer your question..I don't think you can. Unless you have a Remington New Army Reproduction, then it would depend on the manufacturer of your particular gun.

In case I'm wrong, which I am once a decade or so..Anyone able to help him?

OldGunner, thanks for the quick reply. Maybe I'll just have to bite it and reload at the range. Being such a green newbie, I was looking to save time since I know I must be careful about everything in this realm. Certainly not wanting to use it for protection....that's what my Glock, 45 & Mossberg are for!

First you need to determine exactly which model you have. Pietta makes a bunch of em, and very good quality too! [;)]

Here's a couple of places that come to mind.

Taylor's sells both Pietta and Uberti, so make sure you're looking at the right section, the tolerances will be different.
