CVA pistol

I have a cva 50 cal pistol with @7in barrel where can i find some load data on it. What is the best projectile to use? Thanks

    I will bet that the pistol is designed for the patched round ball.
    I have a .45 revolver that will shoot 30 grains of powder, so you should try 30 to 40 grains of ffg powder.
    I would try some .490 round balls and some pillow ticking for patches.
    You can get that stuff at Dixie, you can get premade patches and the balls at Bass Pro Shop or Cabelas. If you make your own patches from pillow ticking, you have to lube them. I use Old Zip patch lube, available only from Dixie.

    Your best bet would be 25 grains ( 30 grain max) and a .490 patched round ball. some of the larger wal-marts carry muzzleloaing supplies as do many local hardware stores and gun shops. I wold recommend a gun shop first,if you are new to the sport, ask questions or find some local BP shooters.
