Who made CVA revolvers?

I have two CVA BP revolvers (one 1858 Remington target with ajustable sights and one 1851 Colt 36 cal)that are at least 15-20 years old. They are marked "made in italy" but does anyone know who made these guns for CVA?

Are there any other markings on the guns, such as PIETTA etc?

There should be other markings that would indicate who actually made them & when. Go here for an explanation of marking on replicas.

A lot of CVA revolvers during that time period were made by Armi San Marco. Drop the loading lever and see if anything is stamped on the barrel. You may find ASM or just MARCO or the full name. It may be just the logo that looks like a marked up triangle.

From the CVA revolvers that I have seen (of course I haven't seen them all), ASM made them for CVA until 2000 when ASM went out of buisness. After that they were made by Pietta.
I answered the question on the Walker the way I did because I don't think Pietta made a Walker.
