Ken - I just wanted to thank you for the link to the Italian proofmarks. I've had a nice, steel-framed replica 1851 Colt Navy since the 1970's marked "LYMAN - Middlefield, Ct" but I never knew who really manufactured it. Thanks to your link, I now know that it was made in 1974 by Armi San Paolo (now Euroarms) as it has "DGG" in a circle on the underside of the barrel.
