Rolling Block Barrels

tugtug Member Posts: 16 ✭✭
I have a #5 Remington Rolling Block in 7mm S. M. (Spanish Mauser) in excellent condition. As with some (Many?, Most?) of these, it has an oversized chamber. I'd like to re-barrel it, but I'm finding it difficult to locate a source for reasonably priced barrels. There once were gazillions of them (I built up 3 rifles from gun show parts, years ago, and Numrich and the like offered a great selection), but either I'm looking in the wrong places, or they've all been used as re-bar in road projects.

Does anyone have any leads?

Thanks in advance.

I have two available. One cut for the sliding extractor the other for the rotary. As soon as I am thru measuring the ends for a rebarreling project they will be for sale.

Email me at lkydvl@hotmail.com if you are interested.

    Thanks for the response.

Are these barrels in 7x57? Are they original or repro? What length/finish/etc?

I would not be averse to re-barreling this in another cal if you have such, as I have RB's in 45-70 (2), 30-40 Krag, 38-55 and another 7mm.

This is a nice rifle, and I may just use it as-is, but some other cal would be attractive, maybe a 30-30 or ?.

I'll eail you at some point. You may respond here or email me at ling@anltd.com

    Thanks again,
